These Terms and Conditions apply to every order placed with Herbs at Work and to every visit to our website. By browsing the store, creating an account, or placing an order, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the store.
Herbs at Work is a South African online store that sells herbal products, magnets, and tensor pieces. We sell and deliver within South Africa only. All prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery fees are shown separately at checkout and are not included in the product price.
Each product page sets out what is in stock, what is available on request, and what is made to order once payment is received. Lead times are shown on the product or variant before you add it to your cart, and they form part of the order. If a product requires measurements, side selection, dosage notes, or any other preparation detail, that information must be supplied before the order can move into preparation.
An order becomes binding once we have received payment (or a valid payment confirmation from our payment processor) and we have accepted any preparation details still outstanding. Until that point, we may decline or adjust an order if a product is out of stock, if a price was entered incorrectly, or if a preparation detail cannot be met.
Payment can be made by instant EFT through PayFast, by manual EFT to the bank account on the order, or by any other payment method we make available at checkout. Manual EFT orders are reserved for a limited time and are released if payment is not received within that window. PayFast processes card and instant-EFT payments on our behalf; their terms apply to those transactions and are available on the PayFast site.
Delivery is handled by The Courier Guy under the rules set out in our Shipping Policy. Once a parcel is handed to the courier and a tracking number is issued, the risk of loss or damage in transit passes to you, unless you have purchased shipping insurance or the loss is caused by our packing error.
You have the right to cancel most online purchases within seven days of receiving them, without giving a reason. That right, the related defective-goods rights, and the items that are excluded from the cooling-off right (including made-to-order and personalised items) are explained in full in our Returns & Refunds Policy. Nothing in these terms removes or limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
You are responsible for keeping your account details, sign-in credentials, and the contact information on your orders accurate. We are not liable for orders, deliveries, or communications that go astray because of outdated or incorrect information you have supplied.
We do our best to keep the store, the catalogue, and the prices accurate, but errors do happen. If we identify an error in pricing, availability, or product information before your order is accepted, we will correct it and tell you before we proceed. If we identify an error after acceptance, we may cancel the affected part of the order and refund you.
We will not be liable for any delay or failure to deliver that is caused by events outside our reasonable control, including courier delays, load-shedding, severe weather, civil unrest, strikes, road closures, or force majeure. If a delay looks likely, we will contact you with the new expected timing.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through our contact channels may be referred to the South African courts, or — for consumer disputes — to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, the National Consumer Commission, or the Information Regulator where the complaint relates to personal information.
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in the store, our products, or the law. The version published on this page at the time you place your order is the version that applies to that order. The 'last updated' date at the top of the policy shows when the current version came into effect.
